Affordable healthcare for all:
Navigate ObamaCare with expert guidance.
Essential Health Benefits
"ObamaCare" is the informal name for the Affordable Care Act (ACA), landmark federal legislation enacted to reform the U.S. healthcare system. The ACA aims to make health insurance more affordable and accessible, expand Medicaid, and protect consumers from unfair insurance practices.
Key provisions and benefits include:
All ACA-compliant plans must cover ten essential health benefits, including emergency services, hospitalization, maternity and newborn care, mental health and substance use disorder services, prescription drugs, rehabilitative services, lab services, preventive and wellness services, chronic disease management, and pediatric services.

No Pre-existing Condition Exclusions
Insurers cannot deny coverage or charge more based on an individual's health status or pre-existing conditions.

Subsidies and Tax Credits
Many individuals and families with incomes within certain percentages of the Federal Poverty Level are eligible for premium tax credits (subsidies) to lower their monthly insurance premiums and cost-sharing reductions to reduce out-of-pocket expenses like deductibles and co-payments.

Individuals can typically enroll in ACA plans through the Health Insurance Marketplace (Healthcare.gov) during an annual Open Enrollment Period (usually November 1 - December 15 in Florida). Special Enrollment Periods are available for qualifying life events (e.g., marriage, birth of a child, loss of other coverage).

Young Adults on Parents' Plan
Allows young adults to stay on their parents' health insurance plans until age 26.

The ACA significantly expanded coverage options for millions of Americans, providing access to comprehensive health insurance that meets minimum standards.
